Associate Director
What Drives Him
Patrick is a firm believer in a common-sense approach to construction projects. With confusion a killer to any delivery success, he has always thrived to demonstrate clarity in his work. Being a big supporter of digitalization on projects, he understands the fundamental benefit of presenting ‘the plan’ visually. His mantra being ‘work smarter, not harder’.
He is an advocate of solid communication, understanding it is one of the most undervalued and important aspects of projects, not only to the delivery team, but also to clients and stakeholders.
Patrick enjoys working in a diverse and thriving team – brainstorming ideas, solving problems and delivering ‘the job’ at hand. He is a devotee of team development through solid leadership, mentoring and sharing his experience to others.
Back Story and Achievements
Born in Birmingham to Irish parents, Patrick’s love for construction came from his Dad who ‘worked on the buildings’ since emigrating from Ireland as a teenager. Starting as a site engineer then rising the ranks to project manager before stepping into the world of planning.
He has contributed to a range of significant projects in civils, highways and rail throughout the UK and also in Australia. Notable projects being M42 J6, HS2 Main Works and Coventry Rail Station. Patrick is a member of APM and is looking to gain chartership in years to come. He is also excited to be a part of the digital drive for the construction sector.
