Back Story and Achievements
Sophie is half Filipino and half Japanese. She’s lived and studied in Japan, the Philippines, and the United States.
Before pursuing marketing, Sophie worked as an English, communications, and arts & crafts teacher for a number of years.
Her journey in marketing began in 2012 when she joined as a copywriter in a marketing agency where she was dealing with mostly tech and B2B clients. After three years in the agency, she transitioned to in-house marketing as a pioneer marketer at a leading B2B global language training SaaS provider, where she played an essential role in jumpstarting and sustaining marketing initiatives such as the development of its branding, messaging, and content strategy, and among others.
